ROCKFORD – Rosemarie Soliven Rose, age 49, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Sunday February 18, 2018. Born in Seng-ngat, Sudipen, La Union, Philippines on December 26, 1968 to Romeo Sy & Lolita Soliven. Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by her husband, Mark; children, Allana, Danielle & Christopher; mothers, Lolita & Carmalita Sy; step-father, Teofilo Navora; sisters, Merlen Macanas, Josefine (Ernesto) Barrientos, Imelda (Eric) Cheng, Rowena (Mauro) Nuesca, & Catherine Navora; brothers, Romano (Leila) Sy, Roderico (Frances) Sy, Roberto (Arlene) Sy, & Rosanno Sy; mother-in-law, Edna Rose; brothers-in-law, Robert & Rory Rose; sisters-in-law, Trisha (Karl) Licktieg & Treena Rose; uncle, Donald (Eula) Giddings; aunt, Betty Jones and family; special friends around the globe,Jim Bartoo, Gina Barranda, David Atkins, David Bailey, Micky & Zar, Violi & Ricky, Tess & Michael, Tina & Joe, Cynthia & John, Christina & Todd, Sharon, Lisa, Paula and Pam; along with numerous aunts & uncles, cousins and nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Romeo Sy; brother, Ronaldo Sy; and father-in-law, Dennis Rose.

A Celebration of Life Memorial to be held on Saturday March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM, at Silver Hill Pentecostal Church, 4401 20th Street., Rockford, IL 61109. Following the service there will be a gathering at 2925 Billie Rd., Rockford IL 61104. . Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
