Ryan Franklin Bennett

BELVIDERE – Ryan Franklin Bennett, age 44, of Belvidere passed away peacefully Tuesday January 18, 2022. Born in Rockford on February 23, 1977 to Glenn Franklin & Laura Anne Bennett (Anson). Health & fitness minded, Ryan enjoyed jogging and exercise in the great outdoors. He loved animals, working on small engine repairs and enjoying time spent with family & friends. Beloved father, son, brother and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his children, Ellie Bennett and Kason Elkhorn; mother, Laura Bennett; siblings, Scott Bennett, Dr. Whitney (Ryan Ross) Bennett and Sydney Bennett; grandparents, Bill (Helen) Swanson; numerous nieces & nephews; former spouse & mother of his children, Bridget Kaltenbach; best friend & roommate, Derrick Jernstad; and beloved cat, Lucky. He is predeceased by his father, Glenn F. Bennett; grandparents, Thomas (Minnie) Bennett and Everett Anson; and several aunts & uncles.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Spring 2022 to be announced. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
