Sandra Lee Cahill

LAKE CARROLL – Sandra Lee Cahill, age 62, of Lake Carroll passed away peacefully following a short illness on Monday April 13, 2020. Born in Rockford on August 8, 1957 to J. Russell & Betty Hagelin (Johnson). Sandra worked for many years as a Registered Nurse and truly enjoyed her job. She loved to travel the world, her favorite destination was Mexico. Beloved fiancé, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her fiancé of many years, Thomas Kniss; daughter, Renee (Greg Geiger) Hartjen; granddaughter, Sophia Hartjen; sisters, Susan (Paul) Barrett and Sallie (Sherman) French; as well as numerous nieces & nephews and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her brother, John Hagelin; and her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial held Saturday July 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary at Lanark Church of the Brethren, 326 S. High Street, Lanark, with visitation in lower level from 12 noon until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
