Sandy Lubs

ROCKFORD –Sandra Sue “Sandy” Lubs, age 82, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Born in Gary, IN on September 25, 1943 to Roscoe & Lena Mills. A thoughtful, caring, kind and giving spirit, Sandy was a devoted and active member of Grace Family Church. She loved crafting, crocheting beautiful afghans and her specialty rock painting. Beloved wife, mother, grand and great grandma, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Robert J. Lubs; son, Steven Phillips; grand and great grandchildren; sisters, Carol & Betty; brother, Don; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son; Donald “Donnie” Phillips; daughter, Sherri M. Joyner; and her parents.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Grace Family Church, 3202 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114. Reception to follow. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the Family.
