Scotty Allen Hollingsworth

SHIRLAND – Scotty Allen Hollingsworth, age 40, of Shirland passed away peacefully Saturday March 2, 2019. Born in Rockford on September 3, 1978 to Tina D. Hollingsworth. A proud member of the Shirland Fire Department, Scotty was a "Jack of all Trades". He loved working as a mechanic on his many vehicles; as well as remodeling, roofing and numerous construction projects. Beloved father, son, brother and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his children, Jacob, Aaron, Ryan and Ashley; mother, Tina (Anthony) Logan-Olson; siblings, Michelle (Gordon) McLelland, Sheri (Ward) Jones, Destiny Sawtelle, Todd (Ana) Hollingsworth, Shawn Sawtelle and Roger Nufer; numerous aunts & uncles and nieces & nephews; and dear friends, Allen Hollin and Jim Lundstrom. He is predeceased by his wife of 18 years, Mindy Hollingsworth (Savage); father, Gary Logan; brothers, Trent Logan and Mike Nufer; grandmother, Margaret Shock; and uncles, Tom & Robert Hollingsworth.

Funeral Services held 4:00 pm on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of services at 4:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Inurnment at Shirland Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to the family.
