Shawn Michael Roper

HAMPSHIRE - Shawn Michael Roper, age 32, of Hampshire, IL and formerly of Carpentersville, IL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Born in Elgin, IL on August 30, 1985 to Jesse W. & Ruby Ann Roper (Cook). He loved writing, listening and producing Hip-Hop & Rap music. He was a WWE fanatic, enjoyed spending time with Sox his cat and playing video games. He had a big heart and was a great uncle to his niece & nephew. Beloved son, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his mother, Ruby Ann Roper; siblings, Steve (Denise) Roper and Kelly Roper; step-mother, Kelly Roper (Plauck); niece, Sarah Roper; nephew, Peyton Roper; beloved cat, Sox; dear friend, David Rose; as well as many aunts & uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, whom he missed very dearly, Jesse W. Roper; dear friend, Joseph Schnupp; his grandparents; and aunt, Linda Flanagan.

A Celebration of Life Memorial to be held on Sunday March 18, 2018 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 309 Lake Marian Rd., Carpentersville IL., from 1:00 - 4:00 PM . Cremation Rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
