ROCKFORD – Sherri Michelle Joyner, age 60, of Rockford passed away peacefully Wednesday July 5, 2023. Born in Gary, IN on June 4, 1963 to John & Sandra Phillips (Mills). She will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by mother, Sandra (Robert) Lubs; children, Dereck Farmer, VJ Joyner and Chris Joyner; grandson; Kierce Joyner; brother, Steve Phillips; and nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her father, John Phillips; and brother, Donald Phillips.

Celebration of Life Memorial to be held Thursday September 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Grace Family Church, 3202 Pleasant Valley Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114. Reception to follow. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the Family.
