LOVES PARK – Shirley Ann Wilson, age 64, of Loves Park passed away on Sunday March 25, 2018. Born in Knoxville, TN on December 6, 1953 to Ralph & Wanda Abbott (Ott). Shirley had a passion for the outdoors, including fishing, taking drives and going to the park. Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend; she will remain in our hearts forever.
She is survived by daughter, Angela (Joshua Johnson) Wilson; grandchildren, Jessica & James Poe, Austin (Kat), Alex & Asa Wilson; great-grandchild, Anastasia "Ana"; siblings, Donna (Howard) Galassi, Ralph Abbott Jr., Linda (Terry Kliven) Abbott; father of her children, Robert Wilson Sr.; close friend, Dan Couch; and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Robert Wilson Jr.; sister, Debbie Abbott and her parents.
Funeral Services to be held on Saturday March 31, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 rd Avenue, Rockford, IL, with visitation from 3:00 pm until the time of services at 5:00 pm. Cremation Rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
