Stephen Keith Johnson

ROCKFORD- Stephen Keith Johnson, age 58, of Rockford passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017. Born in Hayti, MO on October 24, 1958 to Hugh Buford Crawford & Shelba Jean Johnson (Smith). He was employed as a welder and steel fabricator for many years. An avid reader, he loved fishing, music and rooting for the Chicago Cubs & Bears. Stephen cherished most of all time spent with his loved ones. Beloved father, grandfather, uncle and brother, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by children, Brian, Nichole, Jeremy, David, Aaron and Stephanie; siblings, Dennis (Janice) Johnson, Gary (Pam) Johnson, Michelle Johnson and Kimberly Johnson-Hudson; grandchildren, Kevin, Dylan, Savannah and Alexander; nieces & nephews, Jessica Johnson, Hillary (Jason) George, Joshua and Keith Johnson, Robbie and Johnathon Hudson; Special friend, companion and mother of Aaron & Stephanie, Connie Johnson; and special friend & mother of Brian, Nichole and Jeremy, Peggy Johnson. He is predeceased by his parents.

Services are private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
