Sue Ann Steiner

ROCKFORD - Sue Ann Steiner (O'Kane), age 69, of Rockford passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2018. Born on July 19,1948 in Gays Mills, WI to Kenneth "Bun" and Kathryn O'Kane (Kelly). She graduated from Madison East High in 1966, then married Maramon Steiner on June 1, 1968. Over time the couple welcomed two children into their home and Sue set about raising them. Her children remember her as a supportive mother who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

She was a generous individual who loved family and was passionate about helping others. She was an active & dedicated volunteer and member of her Church and community.

Sue is survived by her husband, Maramon Steiner ; s on, Shawn Steiner of Omaha, NE ; d aughter, Melissa Steiner (Matthew Johnson) of Des Moines, IA; many brothers & sisters, and numerous nieces & nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers, Kelly, Ken and Leo; and her parents.

Funeral services held Thursday June 7, 2018 at 7:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3 ^rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 5:00 pm until the time of services at 7:00 pm. Pastor Alan McCormick will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sue's life. Graveside committal services held at the Kast Cemetery, Gays Mills WI, on Saturday June 9, 2018 at 10:30 am, with a celebration reception to follow.
