Thomas Joseph Lensing

CALEDONIA, IL – Thomas Joseph Lensing, age 68, of Caledonia passed away peacefully in his home Wednesday May 31, 2017. Born in Decorah, IA on January 27, 1949. He married Bonnie Jean Thingvold on August 3, 1968 in Hesper, IA. He loved all types of music and fixing & collecting classic cars; his favorite was the 1969 Mustang. An avid race fan, he enjoyed stock car racing and spending time at the raceway. Beloved husband, father, son and brother, he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean Lensing (Thingvold); children, Candy Power and Cory (Jamie) Lensing; grandchildren, Preston, Trevor & Cameron; mother, Ruth Esther Lensing; sisters, Colleen Buechler and Becky (Mark) Yerrington; brothers, Ron (Connie) Lensing and Carl Lensing; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Roman Lensing; brothers, Tony, William & Henry Lensing; infant twin sisters, Margie & Marie; mother & father in-law; Gerhard (Zola) Thingvold; brother-in-law, John Thingvold.
