ROCKFORD – Tonia Gonzalez, age 49, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday May 4, 2023. Born in Rockford on July 17, 1973 to Anthony Gonzales & Mary Villarreal. Always the life of the party, the loudest in the room and a total free spirit, Tonia always wanted everyone to be happy. She loved going out, singing & dancing and being a social butterfly. She enjoyed a good laugh and always brought the best out of anyone she encountered. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by children, Gabriella Eslora, Sergio R. Paredes and Seryanna Bustemante; grandchildren, Milaniah, Deniro and Dennicio; mother, Mary Marquez; father, Anthony Gonzalez; siblings, Teresa (Rafael) Ortiz, Jason (fiancé Lauren) Fishe, Brittany Marquez and Melissa & Rebecca Gonzalez; goddaughter, Adriana Ortiz; nephew, Rafael; nieces, Jyanna & Isla; and beloved cat, Luna.

Funeral Services held Saturday May 13, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Ave., Rockford, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the Family.
