Tony Chavez

ROCKFORD – Tony Chavez, age 59, of Rockford passed away Sunday October 8, 2017. Born in Rockford on December 7, 1957 to Robert & Anita Chavez (Campos). Tony loved playing cards & Dominoes, fishing and music. A proud father and grandfather, he loved staying in touch with his daughters and spoiling his grand babies. Beloved father, son, grandfather and brother; he will remain in our hearts forever.

He is survived by daughters, Jessica Chavez-Urbano, Nikki Marie Chavez, Amy (Zack) McIntyre; parents, Robert & Anita Chavez; grandchildren, Noel, Giovanni, Ethan; siblings, Lori (Eddie) Ramirez, Freddie (Julia) Chavez; and his beloved dog, Cali. He is predeceased by his grandparents, Joaquin (Lorenza) Campos, special nephew, Adam Ramirez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday October 13, 2017 at St. Anthony Of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson Street, Rockford, IL 61102 at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
