Tony Pugh

ROCKFORD – Anthony "Tony" Lamont Pugh, age 52, of Rockford passed away Thursday February 24, 2022. Born in Rockford on January 30, 1970 to Gwendolyn Pugh & Donald Smith. A talented chef & cook, Tony enjoyed entertaining family & friends with a good meal, earning him the name "Chef Daddy". He loved a good time, dancing, karaoke and defending his title as Wing Fest Champ with his many friends at the Output Lounge in Chicago. A die hard Chicago Bears & White Sox fan, Tony truly loved spending time with his family & friends. Beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his mother, Gwendolyn (late Donald) Davis; father, Donald Smith; brother, Reggie Pugh; sisters, Lashonda (Shaun) Seagraves, Nikki (Kareen) Dunn, Tonya Jones, Donna Robertson, Brenda, Elaine & Doreen Smith; numerous nieces & nephews and Godchildren; a host of aunts & uncles and cousins; and dear friends, Steve Eisman & Jessica DeRosso. He is predeceased by his step father, Donald Davis; grandparents, Jesse (Willie Mae) Pugh; and brother, Harold Smith.

Funeral Services held Saturday March 5, 2022 at 3:00 pm at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, with Visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of services at 3:00 pm. Cremation rites accorded. Memorials to the family.
