Tyrone Mendez

EAST DUBUQUE – Tyrone Mendez, age 64, of East Dubuque, IL passed away peacefully Monday January 24, 2022. Born in Minneapolis, MN on August 31, 1957 and raised in Rockford, IL son of Joseph J. & Sandra C. Mendez. Caring, selfless and never complicated, Tyrone possessed a kindhearted nature and a great sense of humor. Not only could he take a joke, he always had a one liner to give. He enjoyed the simple things; sharing time with family & friends, long joyrides, a good meal or just taking it all in on the porch with his dog. Beloved son, brother, uncle and dear friend; he will remain forever in our hearts.

He is survived by his mother, Sandra Mendez; siblings, Lisa (John) Williamson, Simone, Mario, Ramone & Zachary Mendez; nieces, Rachel, Erica and Josie; and nephew, Sal. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Mendez; and grandmother, Alice Weaver.

Services are private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
