Virginia Lilly

ROCKFORD – Virginia Louise Lilly, age 76, of Rockford and formerly of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully Monday May 25, 2020. Born on May 9, 1944 to John & Hettie Block (Ashen). Virginia was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cross- stitch. She loved traveling to Mexico and enjoyed volunteering at many places including the Jaycees and the Girl & Boy Scouts. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her sons, Darin (Paula) Lilly and Sean (Nicole) Lilly; grandchildren, John and Annastasia; siblings, Jon (Donna) Block, Barbara (Tony) Franchina; many nieces & nephews; and beloved cats, Jackson and Isaac. She is predeceased by her parents; and cat, LP.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Inurnment at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte, IN to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest City Rehab, 321 Arnold Ave., Rockford, IL 61108
