William Allen Houston

ROCKFORD - William Allen Houston, age 52, of Rockford passed away peacefully on February 15, 2018. Born in Oregon, IL to Allen Sherwood & Mylene Kay (Schultz) Houston on July 13, 1965. He attended schools in Rockford, and worked construction for 30 years. He married Crystal Dawn James on April 4, 2014 in Rockford.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Crystal Houston; children, Stacy Houston, Stacy Huckabee, Lloyd Huckabee, Ashley (Kieth) Brooks, Kelsey (Lia) Sellnow, Victoria Houston, Anastasia Houston, Elijah Houston and Noah Houston; mother, Mylene Houston; sisters, Karlen Jett, Sherry (Joe) Newhouse, Lynette (Rick) Smith, Michelle (Donald) Jacobs, Susan Sorce and Janet (Curt) Youngs; 11 grandchildren; brother in-law, Kody (Kailie) Gustafson; and sister in-law, Dezarae Gustafson and children Nevaeh, Nate & Renessmae Gustafson; and MANY MANY nieces & nephews. William is predeceased by his father, Allen S. Houston in 2005.

Funeral services held Monday February 26, 2018 at 12:00 noon at the Christenson Funeral Home, 925 3rd Avenue, with visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 12:00 noon.  Interment at Big Mound Cemetery, Davis Junction, IL.

The Family of William Houston would like to give a special Thank You to Dr. Barry Wenig, Dr. Rubenfeld and the ENT Team of UI Health. Also a Thank You to the doctors and nurses in the MICU at University of Illinois Hospital. And a VERY VERY Special Thank You to Sue Diehl for being by Williams side throughout this journey - "You are his Guardian Angel and will never be forgotten."
