Yvonne C. Smith

ROCKFORD – Yvonne C. Smith (McBride), age 62, of Rockford and formally of Freeport, IL passed away peacefully on Friday September 22, 2017. Born in Morrison, IL on August 19 ^th , 1955 to Manford & Erma McBride (Spears). Yvonne had a passion for making cookies, jams and jellies of all kinds. She loved watching Alabama football and the Green Bay Packers. She was employed by Moran Trucking as a trucking terminal manager. Beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and dear friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.

She is survived by sons, Scott (Monica) McBride, Bobby (Tiffany) Smith; grandchildren, Marco & Marshall McBride, Kylee & Kharlee Smith, step-grandchildren, Robert, Brandon & Cheyenne; beloved pekingese fur babies, Jo-Jo & Lei-Lei; best friend of 37 years, Willie 'Ev' Ratledge and close friend, Pat Martineau. She is predeceased by her parents.

Services are private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers and memorials please make donations to diabetes and heart disease research or the hurricane relief efforts.
