Zdzislawa Maria Hammer

POPLAR GROVE – Zdzislawa Maria Hammer, age 68, of Poplar Grove and formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully Saturday August 8, 2020. Born in Zakopane, Poland on November 1, 1951 to Andrzej & Maria Kunc (Lis). Selfless, giving, loving and kind in all her ways, Zdzislawa enjoyed astronomy and reading a good book. She loved to travel and most of all spend time with her family and grandchildren; her true pride and joy. Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend; she will remain forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Jerzy Hammer; daughter, Magy May; son, Sebastian Hammer; grandchildren, Jacob, Seth and Mia; sisters, Mary Oberman and Zofia Stoch; numerous nieces & nephews and cousins; and many beloved friends. She is predeceased by her father, Andrzej Kunc; mother, Maria Kunc-Sygdziak; and sister, Janin Książek.

Services are Private. Cremation rites accorded. Christenson Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials to the family.
